Evan is a Chicago, Illinois native who joins Monomyth Diaries to share a brief yet powerful chapter of his life shaped by loss and mentorship. After losing his father at just 12 years old, Evan spent years navigating adolescence without a steady male role model, at times drifting toward a path that didn’t reflect who he wanted to become. Through the Boy Scouts of America, he found strong mentors, structure, values, as well as skill building and leadership training that helped ground him and shape his sense of identity. Evan’s story is a testament to the impact of guidance and finding community.
